OWEN

*** Special Needs Greyhound***

This is Owen. He had to have his leg amputated as a result of a very bad break. He’s doing well in foster for his recovery. Owen is good with small dogs. He is very food motivated so will be easy to train. Loves his chew toys and anything that squeaks. And from this picture he obviously is a toy hoarder.

Rex

*** Special Needs Greyhound***

Rex is a 91 lb fawn sweetheart of a boy who has Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). Rex would do best in a home without small animals since he can’t really see where he is stepping. Rex is a wonderful boy looking for the perfect family to adopt him.

Ideal Home:
Fenced yard
No pool or a fenced pool
Single story living (no steps)
Dog companion

Banger Bee

*** Special Needs Greyhound***

This is Se’s Banger Bee. Banger is going blind from Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA).  However, he is otherwise healthy and a wonderful boy who will be a wonderful addition to the right family!

Ideal Home:
Fenced yard
No pool or a fenced pool
Single story living (no steps)
Dog companion

Getting him HOME ASAP is critical.  This will give him a chance to learn his home before his vision loss is complete.

BIG M CAN FLY

*** Special Needs Greyhound***

Big M is a very sweet, beautiful “tuxedo” hound with special needs. She has been diagnosed with dry eye that will improve, but requires adopters to follow vet-prescribed treatment protocol (failure to do so could lead to blindness). Big M is not cat friendly.
